Privacy, in plain language.

01

Information we collect

We do not ask for your name, phone number, account credentials, or payment information. The service can be used without registration.

Standard technical requests may expose information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and requested URL to hosting and data providers as part of delivering the website and preventing abuse.

02

Settings stored on your device

Country, fuel, currency, theme, watchlist, game progress, and similar preferences are stored in your browser. A versioned privacy preference records whether optional advertising is allowed, declined, or not yet decided. These settings are not an account and normally remain on that device until you clear site data.

03

Location and nearby stations

The station finder requests device location only after you choose to use it. Your coordinates are sent to our station lookup service and may be processed by OpenStreetMap/Overpass services to retrieve nearby stations and calculate distance. Location is not used to build a profile or for advertising. Permission can be denied or withdrawn; the rest of the service remains available.

04

External data services

The website fetches fuel, exchange-rate, map, and related public data from third-party services. Those providers receive the network information required to answer the request and apply their own privacy terms.

05

Advertising and consent

Karburanti Sot may display advertising through Adsterra on selected pages. Advertising is optional: no Adsterra resource is requested until you explicitly allow advertising, and declining does not limit the website. If enabled, third-party advertising content and resources may be loaded from Adsterra or its delivery infrastructure and those providers may process technical request data or use browser technologies under their own terms. Change your choice at any time through Privacy & cookies in the footer. Browser blocking or unavailable inventory may prevent an ad from appearing.

06

Cloudflare Web Analytics

When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views, referring sites, countries, devices and page performance. We do not add analytics cookies or personal identifiers. Browser blocking and service sampling can limit these reports. Cloudflare processes requests under its own privacy policy. We do not collect rental payment details or operate a customer account system.

07

DiscoverCars

Labelled DiscoverCars links contain referral and campaign identifiers. If you click one, the provider receives the request and may use its own cookies or identifiers to attribute a booking under its privacy terms. We may receive a commission on eligible completed rentals and view referral and commission reports. No affiliate tracking widget is loaded on our website. Shared trip links contain the countries, distances, consumption and fuel type you choose; anyone with the link can read those inputs. Do not include private information in shared URLs.

08

Sharing, security, and retention

We do not sell personal information. Technical providers process the minimum information needed to operate the service. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Local preferences remain until you remove them. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain a correction record.

09

Choices, children, and changes

You can clear local storage, refuse location access, and use browser controls for cookies. The service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Material policy changes will be reflected by revising the effective date. Questions or requests can be sent to [email protected].
